Who we are and where we come from

Wireless alarms review was born out of a frustration of the founder, Neill MacKenzie, being unable to recommend security products, services and merchants during his time as a police officer. Neill spent 18 years as a front line police officer and dealt with hundreds of burglaries, car thefts, robberies etc. He has seen at first hand the trauma, the pain and the expense that being a victim of crime entails.
During his career Neill trained at the Home Office Crime Reduction College at Easingwold where he learnt his crime prevention skills. Sometime later he returned to Easingwold and qualified as an Architectural Liaison Officer – an advanced crime prevention qualification which resulted in him working with architects and Council planners to design out crime at the planning stage of projects. Both these qualifications counted as Crime Prevention credits with the University of Lincoln.
Neill has carried out countless crime prevention security surveys on both residential and commercial properties and whilst carrying out these surveys he was always frustrated by the fact that as a police officer, with a few exceptions, he had to remain unbiased and could not recommend specific products, services or merchants to victims of crime or to those who wanted to increase their home security.
Now retired from the police, Neill has put his respected knowledge, vast experience and unstinting effort into providing a resource which gives authoritative advice on all aspects of home security – with particular emphasis on reviewing wireless burglar alarms. Furthermore he is also able to provide direct links to reputable merchants who can supply reliable home security products.
We hope you like the features of this site and and find them useful when choosing your own wireless alarm. Should you wish to contact Neill direct please do not hesitate to do so by any means on our contact page, or by commenting on our blog.
